... Actually...

I've been working on these stacks of coins on this mesh-- not recolors, what I'm trying to do is clone the coins, paint one set copper, one set silver, and one set gold, and arrange it so each single coin, stack of coins, and bunch of stacks of coins has an assigned value that does not depreciate, ever. My thinking is, for things like dowries, counting-houses, Scrooge McDuckSim's money bin, pirate lairs, or just taking money out of your family's bank account and being able to put it on a table or something, so it's not wasted but it's not easily spend-able, either. (Also great for when you graduate Uni with a shitload of grant money that you can't take with you unless you buy some weird-ass giant Thing from the catalog.)

And I got the textures done, I got the values working so nothing depreciates, I got unique GUIDs assigned to all nine objects, but no matter what I do they all show up with the same texture. And I don't think I made them base-game compatible. Does anyone who knows more about object creation want to prod at them for a while? They've been sitting in my catalog making me feel guilty for months.

Partially shaved hairs (I'm working on a pair of them ;D). Short hairs for women. Normal and plain hair for males.

And someone at GOS pointed this out but... meshes for males, same pants with different shoes and that kind of things. I want Docs for my males!

Hair that sits close to the head.

Because full hair is awesome but I'm tired of Sims that look like a shampoo commercial parody.

Adult clothing converted to teens, like some of amaryll's beautiful meshes, or separates meshes. I badly wish I knew how to mesh.

Here's something cool for tiles and other textures! http://www.spiralgraphics.biz/viewer/ The Genetica Viewer is a program that allows you to see (the thousands) of textures that other users have created. There is also a Genetica Studio where you can make your own, costs money but there is a demo! It's really interesting. I've tried it out myself and while it's not especially beginner-friendly, it's definitely worth dicking around with.

I have you'd fourteen hairs! ... I had Body Shop open while I was working on my Servos and I got bored of wood.

Servos are nearly complete! I am very excited. However I am ridiculously lazy about taking pictures, seriously.

Do flaming poo bags disappear if you happen to miss their delivery?

I made Twilight sims. Someone come put me out of my misery.

It's not my fault, it began with someone else making horrendous ones and me going "Oh I can do that better and I'll PROVE IT."

I didn't actually -do- anything, but I thought about it! ... *cough*

My next projects are definitely to get the MtF Gaius hair conversion done, and to finish the base game set of the adjusted male fat morph/properly fitted clothes default replacements.

My game broke, again. It's been sort of broken for the past few months but I recently got it to work again, then yesterday it broke. I've just given up trying to fix it. It would be great if when I get my new computer, it will magically fix its self but I don't think that's going to happen.

I, uh, was going to start a Medieval 'hood because I was looking at Hat's Dreamwidth and I was like "Ooh ooh, I want one!". Then I went on a downloading spree and was extremely excited until I actually got INTO the game and started a new hood. I then remembered what I didn't like about starting a new 'hood from scratch...it's from scratch. I then became obnoxiously lazy, and... my endeavors went no where. Thank goodness I put everything in a "Medieval Hood" folder, so I could just take it out before my game dies.

I'm ~still~ working on recoloring some of Mouseyblue's eyes, but I don't know what colors I want D: I did get the original set genetisized though, along with a new set of defaults I thought that was going to be way harder than it was :D

And there's a hair that's sitting on my hard drive because I've had the male version Pooklet'd since before Christmas but I don't want to do the female version, when it's really more of a feminine hair anyways. Lazy lazy lazy lazy *grumbles*

I made a new custom neighborhood, and discovered that custom neighborhood objects slow my game down so it's almost unplayable, so I deleted them. I never bother with decorating my neighborhoods, but I had a fit of madness that made me want to make my neighborhoods all pretty.

Also, my game crashed last time I tried to make my sims buy clothes, because I have too many custom clothes. Restraint, I have none.

I don't need to leave my computer. For some mysterious reason, since Wednesday night, the theme park in town has been setting off fireworks every night at about 9:45. I can see them from my home office's window-- all I have to do is lean back in my chair a little. They just finished for the night.

I have no idea why this is happening.

I went swimming in the coooold Baltic (15C/59F), wrote, made delicious strawberry-filled chocolate cupcakes, and read a book series.

Doctrine of Labyrinths: Don't be fooled by the romance-y covers: noir fantasy best describes these books. The world is lushly imagined, realistically gritty, and full of fascinating twists on our own technology and mythology as well as elaborate subplots. It definitely rewards re-reading.

It has quite possibly become one of my top three favourite book series, which is saying quite a lot given how much I read.

Sample chapters here. Monette's short stories are also very much worth a read.

I had a most enjoyable but marginally frustrating week away from home, computerless, by the sea; little snippets of Sims-related inspiration kept popping into my head, such as an idea for some new makeup or some-such, and there was bog all I could do about it! :D

Still, I ate lots of ice-cream and did lots of paddling in the sea, so I guess it was worthwhile. :P
