Was sick for the better part of the day yesterday and cold meds do some hilarious things to your priorities, let me tell you. So it looks like our first Saturday Project Post will be on a, er, Sunday.

So here's how this is going to work: every Saturday, a mod will make a post with themed threads that members can reply to and discuss in. We've picked some themes to start but depending on what direction the posts take, threads may be modified or added.

See the starter comments below to get an idea of the format, and comment away! If you have any questions or want to discuss something not covered by the main threads, reply here!

Collaborations!

Have a project you've been sitting on for ages but don't have the time/skills to complete it? Looking for a long-term collaborator for a series of projects you're planning? Want someone to test/give feedback on something? DO YOU NEED A COLLABORATOR OF ANY KIND, FOR ANY SIM-RELATED REASON AT ALL? This is the thread for you. Reply to this comment with the details of your project/idea/what have you and if someone's interest, they can comment back to you and you can sort out the details.

Newsea Love Affair Hair Edit

OK, I will start. I had some time to dick around in milkshape recently, so I carved the bow and band off of the AF stage of Newsea's Love Affair hair, which was a giant pain in the ass because it was all ONE GROUP. I don't really have the time/stamina to repeat the process for all the other ages, so I was wondering if someone would not mind converting the modified mesh to the other ages?

That would be excellent, thank you! I'm crap at age converting. Do you want the .simpe file or the whole mesh with the modified AF file imported?

I'll just edit the original mesh myself and send it your way when I'm done, that's the easiest way I can think of.

Buuuut, rather the point was the bow was removed from the AF age and I want that modified mesh converted. If you're going to do all the work yourself, it's not exactly a collaboration. XD

I don't quite know how to age convert hair meshes properly so I just figured I'd remove the bow from all the ages and send it to you. I still considered it a collab because you had the idea and did the work originally. But if you'd rather somebody convert the AF one you modified, then someone else can jump in.

I hope this doesn't sound selfish or anything but I kind of don't want the work that went into carving out the bow from the AF stage to go to waste? Because it's all in one group, so it was really a matter of very carefully snipping off vertices and checking for holes elsewhere every two seconds. If you want to remove the bow yourself, that's fine and all, but it wouldn't be a collaboration, it would just be your own work, because, well, none of my work would be going into it, idea or not. Especially because I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had the idea to remove that bow. :)

So thanks but I'll pass. It's probably for the best, anyhow. I should suck it up and try to learn how to age convert properly, anyway.

So I made all these hose. And they work great, but the more I use them as underwear or swimwear or whatever, the more I wish I could use them for daywear. I don't even know if this counts as a collaboration (and totally yell at me if it isn't, I don't know what I'm doing yet), but I had this idea of applying the shiny new 'dress as top, bare legs with shoes as bottom!' trend to Medieval menswear-- so you'd have a set of legs with hose and shoes or boots as pants (and hey, I already have a whole mess of hose textures!), and then a tunic as a top. Something like Aligeth's Robin Hood tunic (only Oph3lia shaved off the bracers, so that might work better) or some of Tiggerypum's meshes from The Dark Project or the tunicpants top from Midsimmer... I could find more meshes that'd be best served chopped up, and I'd happily retexture anything and everything. (Not, perhaps, quickly, but I totally would.) It'd also be the first case of Medieval separates ever, which is pretty cool.

I made these eyes and because I have a mac, I can't use simpe which means I can geneticize them. So I was wondering if someone could geneticize for me?

If no one else is planning on doing this, I would do it for you! If you care which colors are recessive or dominant, just send me a message with the info. Otherwise, I can just geneticize them as I see fit and send them back over to you.
