I went swimming in the coooold Baltic (15C/59F), wrote, made delicious strawberry-filled chocolate cupcakes, and read a book series.
Doctrine of Labyrinths: Don't be fooled by the romance-y covers: noir fantasy best describes these books. The world is lushly imagined, realistically gritty, and full of fascinating twists on our own technology and mythology as well as elaborate subplots. It definitely rewards re-reading.
It has quite possibly become one of my top three favourite book series, which is saying quite a lot given how much I read.

Sample chapters here. Monette's short stories are also very much worth a read.
